Dokodemo Doa were fucking great as well, all swirlyungothchamberpulse, but i was there for Jetscreamer.


and it's a tight band, but there's some friction, and i wonder at how she can be in those songs that are written about her, even as he pours himself into them at the other end of the set. pours. himself
and it's not love songs, no: they're
well
breaking up, i guess, or the like
or as close to it as yeh can be and still be in the same house, band, whatever.
He's incredible, not just as a musician, but he's humble. Reminds me more than a little of Mark Poole ( of my favorite band: Moon).
i have much respect for him, to bring that to the set, and let the music talk ( scream/cry/wail), even as she's innit - lyrically, musically, physically.
it is so complex and convoluted, and i hesitate to laud the fact that it makes the music so so so fucking good.
i hate that his heart is raw, cos i think it's the fucking worst thing in the world, to love someone who's 3 feet from you at all times, and that person is everything except there. Tho they were, once.

unrequited is different. this is loss.
i hope that the music lets him feel the beauty that the rest of us see in him
not that that helps a heartache, but it's some salve.
